Eagle in Flight - Believing the truthBelieving the truth, God’s truth, is the active power of our new life. It is the Lord’s grace-based way of giving wings to our new life of faith. All Christians will tell you that they believe in Jesus. But have we been “blinded” by the light? The all-important issue of believing doesn’t end there. The demons also believe that the Father and Jesus exist, but they take no joy or peace in believing it, nor do they live yielded to Him in trust and obedience.

Since we are saved by grace through faith, it is entirely by means of faith that we are meant to access all that grace so freely supplies.  For instance, God’s Word says that we who believe can be filled with all joy and peace “in believing.”  If this is not what you are experiencing all day long, then perhaps there are a few things you still need to learn about recognizing and overcoming the stronghold of unbelief which may be quenching your faith.

Set Free by the Keys! (God’s Kingdom Keys)

Why Do We Need Keys? Do you ever feel bound up with all kinds of negative emotions—with attitudes and feelings that you don’t like, don’t want and can’t very easily shake off? How Our Worst Things Become the Best

How Our Worst Things Become the Best (Thanks to God’s Promise of Redemption)

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead our Father displayed a power which goes beyond forgiving our sins and getting us safely to heaven. I have no desire to diminish these well-known works of the cross—they are stupendous sources of joy impossible to reduce. I do, however, want to draw your attention to an all-too-often overlooked and unclaimed power always available, ever at work, which also flows from the cross: the power of God to bring good out…

Transformers Activate

Transformers Activate!

“Transformers activate!” is a phrase from the toy craze my son went through years ago. Right now, it has me thinking about what  the Lord uses to “activate” us—His “transformers”! Like Hasbro’s toys we, too, have been created to be genuine transformers. Unquestionably, Jesus wants to use us to transform the world around us. For that to happen, however, we will have to learn the way of being continually transformed ourselves. If not, we risk being put back “on the shelf” by the…
